Strong
A class for women of all ages and fitness abilities as exercise can be adapted to suit the individual.
You need to be at least 6 months post-natal and have no pelvic floor or diastasis issues (if you have, please get in touch, I can help you in other classes).
The class will incorporate the use of different pieces of equipment along with your own body weight to give you a whole body workout.
This class currently runs on a Monday at 7pm on Zoom or Strong Outdoors on a Tuesday @ 7pm in Prestbury Park MUGA. Click for more information on Strong Outdoor

Do you exercise regularly? Do you do the same thing over and over again? Are you getting the results that you want?
It’s great if you are exercising regularly but if you continue to work the same muscle groups over and over again doing the same exercise, imbalances will occur which will lead to weaknesses in some muscle groups resulting in reduced stability around joints, this can over time result in injury.
Are you achieving the results of getting stronger, faster and fitter? To achieve these outcomes you need to work on a variety of exercise types to stress the body in different ways. Repeating the same moves over the same intensity won’t achieve this.
‘Strong’ will help you achieve all of the above. It’s a great standalone class but is also great for cross training to support other activities.
This class is also designed to cover other aspects of your health. It will help to improve the usual outcomes of exercise as far as toning and possible weight loss if needed. It does also consider factors of looking after our bone and heart health which does deteriorate slowly with reducing levels of the sex hormone oestrogen. Oestrogen levels start to diminish from the late 30s onwards but we can work out more appropriately to combat this.
The class will be set up in various ways, group and individual to provide some variety. The exercise can be adapted to suit your level of fitness so anyone can join in, you just need to be willing to give it a go and maybe try something new.
There will also be a time of stretching/releasing tissues which will be important if working muscles around the body hard. There needs to be a balance between both working hard and then easing off to allow all soft tissues to move and function efficiently.
This class is for any woman that is beyond 6 months postnatal with no pelvic floor or abdominal muscle separation (diastasis). All ages and abilities are welcome.
The class works on strength, agility, and aerobic fitness with the use of body weight and various bits of equipment. You can work at whatever level suits you but you will be encouraged and motivated to progress as much as possible.
