Everyone with female hormones will experience the Menopause but the experience will be different for everyone! The experience varies due to the onset of any symptoms, the variety of the symptoms and the longevity of them. There is also a huge variety in how these symptoms affect you and your daily life, some people will breeze through this period and others will struggle with their work, health and lifestyle.

I have been studying and learning about how the Perimenopause and Menopause can affect us and how by making small changes to our lifestyle and habits this can improve some of the symptoms experienced. Having had symptoms myself and making changes to my own routines and habits to help manage them, I have first-hand experience in making a difference to symptoms experienced.

The Menopause is now more widely spoken about which is great, but more so on the aspect of HRT and how this can help. HRT can be helpful but it isn’t the answer to everything. HRT can be helpful to boost hormone levels but there are many more ways that you can help to balance your hormones.

There are many hormones at play with this life phase (It’s not just about oestrogen and progesterone) but there is limited information freely available to women for them to know how they may be affecting you at this time. Changes in these hormones can occur as early as the early 40s which can manifest as symptoms not necessarily related to what you may consider the Perimenopause, but they are!

I have already started to educate many women on this subject, with responses to the information given that ‘they wish they had known this before’ and ‘why isn’t this information more readily available?’

It’s never too early or late to learn how the interplay of the many hormones can affect your symptoms so please scroll down to see which talk/workshop will be best for you.

Fortify your 40s

Because the average age of Menopause is cited as 51, many women think they are too young for this to be happening to them, but they are unaware of the preceding period of Menopause known as the Perimenopause. Many women can be misguided during this period and be given antidepressants because they feel unable to manage the busy world around them along with the new overwhelming symptoms. Antidepressants are generally not the answer to this feeling of overwhelm, anxiety or just feeling rubbish that has started to take over their day but small changes in lifestyle, nutrition and exercise can make a big difference.

Being more aware of the symptoms that are related to the Perimenopause that can start in the early 40s, can help you manage them better with small changes in lifestyle habits and routines and make this transition period less turbulent for you. Come along and find out more.
