Do you develop tension regularly in different areas of the body? Tension within the body can develop from many different reasons. Do you spend your day carrying out the same repetitive movements? Do you sit for long periods at a time? Do you spend your day carrying small people around? Do you exercise regularly but do the same thing over and over?
‘Release and Breathe’ is a session that will help you overcome these problem areas and help you manage them better.
The session will help you to release all the tight areas in your body that develop from daily repeated movements and tasks. It will also help you to focus on your breathing to ensure this is done in the most effective way, it will help to keep your body relaxed and reduce tension rebuilding.
The class incorporates the whole body because tightness and restriction of movement anywhere in the system will affect how other areas work. The body is one continuum of soft tissue that connects us from the top of our head down to finger tips and toes. This system of soft tissue needs to flow with fluidity to achieve optimum function. Within the class we will carry out whole body movements to allow this whole soft tissue system to move through its course and release any tension and tightness that has developed. We will also work on easy strategies that you can use at home that will encourage you to continue with this.
The session will end with a lie down and a meditation to calm the mind and body and help you to focus on breathing better.
FAQ's
Anyone who suffers from tension and/or pain in their body from repetitive movements or posture and anyone wanting to prevent these problems from happening.
Just bring a bottle of water to keep you hydrated throughout the session.
The session lasts for 1 hour.
You will need a yoga strap/dressing gown band or similar (not stretchy), a mat to lie if on the hard floor, a pillow/cushion for your head at the end, and a small blanket if you wish to cover up for the relaxation and meditation
